The University of France-Conte (also known as The University of Besancon) was founded in 1423 with a long history. It is one of the oldest universities in France and a famous public comprehensive university in France.
France-conte University has five campuses in the five cities of Besancon, Belfort, Monbolier, Vizur, and Longoranje and the surrounding areas.

The School’s 42 accredited research teams maintain relationships with universities in Europe and around the world and have more than 500 partners around the world, many of them leading universities in the United States, Russia or Japan.
The University has a concentration of internationally recognized laboratories and research institutes in mechanics and microtechnology, and specializes in the most modern technological developments.
