Columbia College, founded in 1854 in Columbia, South Carolina, is a private boarding school for women in arts and sciences. It is also one of the oldest women’s colleges in the United States.
Columbia College offers schools of the Arts, biophysics, Business and Economics, communication and drama, dance, Education, English, history and politics, human Relations, Mathematics and Computing, Modern Languages and Literature, music, physical Education and Health, and philosophy of Religion.
Columbia Offers undergraduate and master’s programs in art history, biology, chemistry, business administration, marketing, communication, early childhood education, political science, psychology, religion, and leadership studies.
More than half go on to graduate school, law school and medical school.
Columbia college features a women’s liberal arts college with a strong emphasis on the development of female leadership.
